BWCA Lac La Croix

Grethe and Obi and I recently got back from a BWCA Canoe trip. The weather was great, and we had an awesome time! Just what we needed to unplug and get away from the hustle and bustle of work-a-day life!

Our canoe was shuttled in from the Crane Lake BWCA entry point #12 to Beatty Portage on the west side of Lac La Croix by Anderson’s Canoe Outfitters.

We spent five glorious nights canoeing and camping around magnificent Lac La Croix and surrounding lakes. Here are the locations of our campsites:

  1. Saturday, September 5th, 2015 - Snow Bay, Lac La Croix 48°20’03.0”N, 92°16’16.8”W
  2. Sunday, September 6th, 2015 - East of Dome Island, Lac La Croix 48°21’10.8”N, 92°10’29.2”W
  3. Monday, September 7th, 2015 - Green Lake 48°15’41.8”N, 92°06’32.5”W
  4. Tuesday, September 8th, 2015 - Wind blown!, north of Tiger Bay, Lac La Croix 48°15’41.0”N, 92°00’09.3”W
  5. Wednesday, September 9th, 2015 - Fish Stake Narrows, Lac La Croix 48°17’50.1”N, 92°01’40.9”W

The burger and beer at The Voyagaire after we got out on Thursday never tasted so good! I can’t wait for our next trip!
